Emergency services were called to Hopton at 12.30am on Saturday after reports that a girl had become unwell.

She was taken by ambulance to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, but died a short time later.

Following police enquiries, two 18-year-olds were arrested on Monday.

Kian Lockett, of King Street, Great Yarmouth, and Nathan Laffitte, of no fixed address, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, charged with supplying MDMA and being concerned in the supply of MDMA.

Both have since been remanded in custody and will next appear before Norwich Crown Court on February 25.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said a Home Office post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
