Kai Andrews has joined Hibernian on loan from Coventry City for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old midfielder becomes David Gray’s second signing of the January transfer window.

Andrews, a Wales international, spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Motherwell.

Hibs boss Gray said: “We’re excited to bring Kai into the building and add extra strength in depth to our midfield options.

“We felt it was important that we brought in another combative and athletic presence in the middle of the pitch.

“Having watched him play at Motherwell last season, I know he understands the demands of the league – and we are all excited to work with him.”

Sporting director Malky Mackay added: “I’m delighted to bring a player of Kai’s calibre and potential to this football club as we head into an important last six months of the season.

“Kai is a player with previous experience in this league – which is always extremely beneficial – and he has a good pedigree coming up from a top English Championship club and representing Wales internationally.

“I would like to thank both Dean Austin and Frank Lampard for their support in facilitating the loan move, and we’re looking forward to seeing him in green and white between now and the end of the season.”
