Sarah Jessica Parker has announced that And Just Like That… will end with its third season.
The Carrie Bradshaw actor took to Instagram to share the news with her followers, confirming that spin-off to Sex and the City will conclude with the “final two episodes” of its current season.
“MPK [Michael Patrick King] and I together recognised, as we have in the past, this chapter [is] complete,” she wrote. “AJLT was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent… I am better for every single day I spent with you.”
Parker’s post included a montage of famous Bradshaw moments and outfits from her Sex and the City and And Just Like That… days, with the post beginning with a poem paying tribute to her iconic character.
“She Loved Lost Won Tripped Leaped Fell short and into puddles Aged Got wiser,” reads one line, with other lines additionally referencing Carrie’s crossed avenues, high heels and run-ins with heartbreak.

“I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have,” she added of Bradshaw, addressing the fandom. “Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her.
“The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt. To you all.”
In a statement shared on the show’s official Instagram page, And Just Like That… showrunner King explained that while writing the current season that “it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop”.

“SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn’t want the word ‘final’ to overshadow the fun of watching the season,” he said.
“It’s with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.”
And Just Like That… returned to screens for its third and now-final season in late May. The next two episodes, which form the “two-part finale”, will air across the next fortnight on HBO and Sky.
And Just Like That…, the sequel to Sex and the City, airs on Sky Comedy and NOW in the UK and Max in the US.
