Kieron Bowie will fly out to Italy on Friday to complete a potential £7 million move to Hellas Verona.
Hibs accepted a club record guaranteed fee of around £6 million, with the potential of another £1 million or add-ons and a sell-on. The 23-year-old jets out to Verona on Friday morning for his medical and to sign a four-and-a-half year contract on significantly higher wages than he is currently on at Easter Road.
Record Sport exclusively broke the story of the Serie A side’s move for the Scotland international. The first offer of around £4.5 million with add-ons was turned down but we reveal that the Italians would go again.
Verona are keen to get Bowie in to bolster their survival bid, as they look to get out of the relegation spots. The move should be a club record sale for Hibs, dwarfing the fee they got from Celtic for Scott Brown back in 2007.
Bowie’s former club, Fulham, will also be due around a 20% sell-on. His previous clubs, Raith Rovers and Glenrothes Strollers, will also benefit from the move. Verona previously did business with Hibs when they signed Josh Doig back in 2022. The lure of playing in Serie A is a big one for Bowie.

Kieron Bowie has made a brilliant start to the season at Hibs
His fellow Scotland internationalists Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Che Adams, Lewis Ferguson and Doig are all now playing out there. Bowie is keen to try and book his place in Steve Clarke’s squad for this summer’s World Cup.
