Manchester United are looking to sign a new left-back in the summer transfer window and have earmarked Eintracht Frankfurt star Nathaniel Brown as a potential target, according to reports.
The Old Trafford side have reportedly entered the race for the highly sought-after defender, who is expected to depart the Bundesliga club after the summer.
United scouts were reportedly in attendance for Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Frankfurt on Wednesday, as Brown completed 90 minutes in the Champions League encounter.
The 22-year-old is expected to be closely monitored ahead of the summer market, as United assess whether to formalise their interest in the ‘brilliant’ defender.
Man United Eyeing Nathaniel Brown

According to TEAMtalk, Brown has no shortage of suitors in the Premier League, having been on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester City over the past couple of months.
The 22-year-old is likely to leave Frankfurt in the summer, with any deal expected to cost in excess of £40m.
United have reportedly identified a new left-back as one of their three priority signings after the season, along with a new midfielder and a forward.
The Red Devils have yet to welcome any new signings in January and are not expected to do so, while Joshua Zirkzee could be allowed to leave before Monday’s deadline after struggling for minutes under interim head coach Michael Carrick.
United currently have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as left-back options, but with the Dutchman’s deal expiring after the season, the club are likely to seek reinforcements in the position.
While Patrick Dorgu is admired internally, the Dane is viewed more as a wide player than a defender, following his goalscoring displays against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Harry Maguire Unlikely to Stay

United have several contract situations to resolve ahead of the summer, with Malacia, Harry Maguire, Casemiro and Tom Heaton’s deals all expiring.
While Casemiro has announced he will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of his deal, Maguire is also likely to head in the same direction.
According to reports, United have yet to offer a contract extension to the 32-year-old defender and appear unlikely to do so, as they are keen to see Maguire’s minutes go to Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven next season.
Maguire is believed to have interest from multiple Serie A and Premier League clubs, with Italian sides already making enquiries with a view to a pre-contract agreement.
