Pandas are Mother Nature’s ultimate goofballs. Do we have any scientific studies, peer-reviewed journals, or statistics to support this claim? No. We just have eyes, a brain, and an innate ability to recognize fluffy goofballs when we see them.
Oh, and there’s this video. It’s just a couple of silly pandas at the Berlin Zoo playing in the snow, having the time of their lives. We think this definitely proves that pandas are, in fact, the preeminent goofballs of the natural world, LOL.
From the way these precious pandas move, with their bodies wiggling to and fro, to the way they roll and tumble around in the snow, they could not possibly be any cuter, or sillier, LOL! Seriously, these three pandas seem intent to master the art of aimless, free-form silliness.
Our personal favorite moment in this footage is when one of the pandas, who was sitting on top of a rock, watching their siblings roll around in the snow, seemingly slips off the rock and tumbles into the snowy bush beneath them. Without a doubt, clumsiness has never been cuter!
Social media was every bit as smitten with these adorable pandas’ antics as we were. For instance, Instagram user rebecca_13 was practically gushing through her keyboard when she wrote, “Isn’t that cute?! They are having so much fun! The question is, who is more playful, Leni and Lotti or Mom? I can’t decide, LOL! Thanks for the video!”

While Instagram user emma.casper remarked, “They’re the sweetest furballs in the entire world… I love them so much, and the way Mama joins the twin sisters is just too cute!”
And Instagram user kathrinnuss417 was also totally in love with these precious pandas when she wrote, “What a blast! All three of them get to cuddle in the snow! LOL! Thank you so much for capturing and sharing this wonderful folly!”
More Panda Cuteness
As this other video shows, the pandas at the Berlin Zoo don’t just have fun in the snow. They also get to have fun when the staff sets up creative and delicious ways for them to celebrate various milestones, such as New Year’s Day.
In this footage, one of the zoo staff has written 2026 on the wall in honey and put up some cute New Year’s decorations to go along with it. Unsurprisingly, the honey was a big hit with this panda, who enthusiastically licked every drop of it off the wall!
What better way to enjoy the snow than by rolling around like a total goofball with your family or celebrating the New Year with a tasty snack!? Clearly, a panda’s life is a good life, LOL.
