A man has been charged with murder after a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death.
Police were called to reports of an assault in Rose Gardens, Eythorne, near Dover, at 9am on Thursday.
Officers attended alongside other emergency services, where the victim was found with injuries consistent with stab wounds.
Despite life-saving attempts, he died, and his next of kin have been informed.
Police have now charged Stephen Boyd Rooke, 68, of Rose Gardens, after he was arrested at the scene.
Rooke, who was known to the victim, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates Court today (January 31). He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 3.
At 5.30pm yesterday, police and forensic officers could be seen outside the house, which has been cordoned off with tape.

The community has been rocked by the reports, as senior detectives are drafted in to establish the facts of the case.
Some residents have called the scenes “surreal”, while one neighbour told our reporter she had “never seen so many police cars”.
“They’ve been here all day – whatever has happened, it is a real shock, this is a very quiet area,” she added.
Investigators are continuing to appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them. Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage.
