Gervonta Davis has been arrested following a two-week police manhunt for the boxer in connection to a domestic abuse allegation.
Police put out an arrested warrant for the Baltimore brawler on January 14 – who was wanted on charges of battery, false imprisonment and attempted kidnapping.
The charges stem from an alleged incident in a nightclub in the Miami Gardens area on October 27, with a woman accusing ‘Tank’ of domestic violence. The woman was in a relationship with Davis for almost half a year, but ended around a month before the incident and she decided to cease contact with Davis following the break up.
According to TMZ, Davis was detained on Wednesday following an extensive manhunt conducted by Miami Gardens Police Department and US Marshals. The exact circumstances of the boxer’s arrest are currently a mystery. The 31-year-old’s bail has been set at $16,000 (£11,568).

The woman accused Davis of approaching her while she was working at the venue at around 4:15am last October. She alleged that the boxer “grabbed her by the back of her head, pulling her by the hair with one hand and by her throat with another.” She added that Davis “forcefully escorted” down a stairway and into a parking garage.
After reaching the parking area, the boxer is said to have finally released her – with the woman then running to her co-workers for help. Two days later, the woman went to the police station to report the incident. She reported some minor injuries, including bruising to her left arm.

A police statement issued by lead detective Gary Florencio said: “The victim stated that the subject [Davis] grabbed her by her hair with one hand and grabbed her by the throat with the other. She further stated that [Davis] escorted her down the stairway and toward the VIP parking garage, while maintaining his grip on her head and neck. During the incident, [Davis] allegedly stated, ‘You think that I would not find you?’”
The victim also sued ‘Tank’ over the altercation back in October – which scuppered the boxer’s exhibition showdown with Jake Paul. The complaint details at least four previous clashes with the boxer. One confrontation reportedly occurred on September 2 – after she failed to reply to Davis’ messages, while another took place 21 days later when ‘Tank’ accused her of infidelity, sent a text threatening to kill her, and then assaulted her at a restaurant. Neither Davis’ legal team or the fighter himself have issued a statement regarding his latest arrest.
