The BBC has revealed that filming has begun on season 2 of Gaelic-language crime drama Crá.

Series one concluded with Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin (Dónall Ó Héalaí) discovering the truth about what happened to his mother Sabine, whose body was found mysteriously buried in a bog.

In series two, the personal and professional lives of law enforcers who are operating in a lawless borderland are explored as Conall, now a trainee detective, must confront his past to secure his future.

Returning for this six-part series are Dónall Ó Héalaí, Alex Murphy as Barry, Hannah Brady as Ciara-Kate, and Colm Mac Giolla Easbuic as Iarla.

New names joining the cast include Siobhán O’Kelly, Lochlann Ó Mearáin, Art Parkinson, Aoife Nic Ardghail and Tony Devlin. Further cast details for series two will be released in due course, says the BBC.
