Amad was brilliant for United against Fulham
Manchester United produced a late, late show to hand Michael Carrick a third successive win as head coach, beating Fulham 3-2 at Old Trafford.
United took the lead in controversial circumstances. A penalty decision was overturned after VAR decided a holding offence on Cunha occurred outside the box, but Bruno Fernandes’ delicate free-kick was headed in by Casemiro.
Casemiro turned provider for the second, sliding a pass through for Cunha to smash a shot into the roof of the net, but Fulham got back into it when Raul Jimenez scored an 85th-minute penalty.
Kevin’s spectacular strike in injury time looked to have broken United hearts but Benjamin Sesko scored a superb winner in front of the Stretford End.

Here are how the players rated at Old Trafford:
Senne Lammens: One sharp first half save and did well to keep Wilson’s second half free-kick out when he looked to see the ball quite late. 7
Diogo Dalot: Growing in confidence back in his right-back role. Kept things simple with link-up play with Amad and defended well against the lively Chukwueze. 7
Harry Maguire: Must have won nearly every duel again. Strong in the air and on the grou – a little unlucky with conceding late penalty. 7
Lisandro Martinez: Showed his appetite for the battle with one crunching clash with Jimenez and good in possession. Partnership with Maguire is growing. 7
Luke Shaw: Solid in and out of possession. Felt like much of the play went down the other flank but keeps up his good run of performances. 7
Casemiro: Always a threat from set-pieces and a lovely ball for Cunha for the second goal. Had to work hard against Fulham’s sometimes lively attack. 8
Kobbie Mainoo: His best performance since returning to the team. Snapped into tackles and used the ball quickly. Felt like he controlled it for United. 8
Amad: Deserved an assist when Sesko headed his cross against the post. An excellent performance on the wing, used the ball well and had the beating of his man every time. 9
Bruno Fernandes: Good free-kick to set up Casemiro’s goal. Fulham’s big defensive midfielders gave him a bit of a going over at times but stuck to the task well. Brilliant late assist. 8
Matheus Cunha: Took his goal superbly and driving run won the free-kick for first goal. Deserved his start after recent displays off the bench and in a good moment. 8
Bryan Mbeumo: One good second-half chance. Movement was a problem for Fulham again and linked things well. 7
Substitutes
Manuel Ugarte: Didn’t have a great deal to do but solid enough when he came on. 6
Benjamin Sesko: Should have scored when hitting the post with a header just after coming on but made no mistake with second chance. 7
Noussair Mazraoui: Came on late but beaten too easily for the goal. 5
Leny Yoro: Late sub. 6
