Manchester City head coach Andree Jeglertz: “We played with a confidence that is not rare in football but we are a team that is so determined. We attack on the transition and we own their half and control the game. We had so many layers but we did everything with determination. That’s the crucial thing.”
On Kerolin: “We see her scoring three goals – great player, she has the speed, she’s doing a great job in defending and put a lot of energy in that. She can create something out of nothing. I am happy for her.”
On whether Man City have won the league: “We haven’t won the league. I will never say that [it’s won] until it’s done. Just playing that kind of game, the result is a fantastic win. We are getting players onto the field today and keeping the standard high and that is very important for the rest of the season.”
On inflicting a heavy defeat on Chelsea: “This is not about Chelsea. This is about us. Every game we play here [at the Etihad] is special. A lot of emotions. Just showing the quality of the players and the team for our fans is a proud moment and that’s unique to do that against Chelsea.
“There are a lot of expectations on this team now and that’s when they’ve delivered the best performance. I think that’s impressive from this group.”
