Nick and his wife Dianna Williams were out on a walk when they spotted the eagles above them.
The pair, from Ringwood, were walking along Hengistbury Head, near the coastguard station, when the birds flew over.
Nick described them as ‘such things of beauty’, also commenting on their wingspan of around 2.5 metres.
He said: “White tailed eagles have recently been re-introduced to the south coast after a gap of 250 years .
“My only previous sighting of one of these magnificent birds was in Poole harbour whilst on a Birds of Poole harbour boat trip- I would definitely recommend these boat trips.
“It was the first time we have seen a white tailed eagle, let alone 2, at Hengistbury Head . We were by the coastguard station when we spotted them heading towards us from the Poole direction.
“The people manning the coastguard station were also really excited, as it was the first time they had seen these magnificent birds.”
