Coronation Street airs yet another suspicious moment involving Jodie Ramsey next week, as she pulls out a secret locket that she’s been hiding from everyone. What is she concealing from her sister Shona now?
Jodie has been behaving strangely ever since she arrived in Weatherfield last month – from manipulating Shona’s impressionable stepdaughter Lily to lying about having a traumatic past with an abusive partner. But although Jodie believes she has everyone fooled, she’s not doing quite as well as she thinks…
Next week, Jodie singles out her brother-in-law David for special attention as she heaps praise on him for making her feel so welcome since she moved to the cobbles.
Although David was the main force behind convincing Shona to give Jodie a chance, he now seems to have changed his tune. David confides in his brother Nick that there’s something very strange about Jodie…

“David is no fool and has already spotted some red flags,” warns our Corrie source. “Although David can’t quite put his finger on it yet, there’s no denying that Jodie doesn’t seem entirely trustworthy.
“With no firm evidence yet, David may have to bide his time before warning Shona that something isn’t right.”
Later, once she’s alone, Jodie looks through her trinket box and pulls out a locket.
But does it have a special meaning for Jodie – and what is she really up to?

“Jodie is deeply troubled, but she isn’t a bad person,” explains Olivia Frances Brown, who plays Jodie.
“She likes to mess around and toy with people to amuse herself, but only the ones she thinks deserve it. She has deep-rooted abandonment issues – I’d say she’s a product of what people have put her through.”
Teasing the truth behind the mysterious locket, Olivia adds: “I don’t want to say too much. Jodie claims she found it in a charity shop, but that’s a lie to protect herself…”
Jodie made her first appearance in the Corriedale crossover special last month, when she escaped from Emmerdale‘s Graham Foster after being held prisoner by him in the back of a van.
Corrie bosses have since promised that the truth about Jodie’s background – and how she ended up in that van with Graham – will be revealed later this year.
