There are two episodes left of Tell Me Lies’ third season, and we’ve had plenty of dramatic rollercoaster moments already — Bree and Wrigley, the continued Oliver drama and everything involving Lucy to name a few — but it sounds like it’s all just a warm-up for what’s to come.

Bree actor Cat Missal and Alex star Costa D’Angelo have teased that the last two episodes, titled ‘As I Climb Onto Your Back, I Will Promise Not to Sting’ and ‘Are You Happy Now, That I’m on My Knees?’, will get everyone talking.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Missal said the episodes are set to be “so controversial” that fans should “have your beta blockers [within reach]”.

“Yeah, it’s crazy. Just go for a walk,” D’Angelo added, recommending that people “take a few laps after it ends, get some sun”.

“It’s insane,” he added. “I think it’s going to blow up the internet. It’s crazy. So, enjoy.”

Season three has given Missal a lot more to do with the expanded focus on Bree, and she said she’s very thankful for the opportunity to step up.

“Season two prepared me a little bit,” she said. “Even though most of my storyline was with Oliver, I had more to do.

“So this season I was ready for more work and I was really excited. I’m just so grateful for it.”

Reflecting on why she thinks Bree and Wrigley have gotten together (beyond the physical attraction, obviously), she explained: “I think Wrigley’s dealing with a lot of grief, and Bree carries a grief of her own with the relationship with her mom, not having a relationship with her father, her upbringing and how she’s had to navigate and be her own support system for years.

“I think there’s a relatability between them. There’s something unspoken that just exists beneath everything.”

Fans can find out exactly what the finale holds when it lands in just a couple of weeks’ time, on February 17.

Tell Me Lies season 3 streams on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US. Seasons 1-2 air on the same platforms, and also on BBC iPlayer.
