Andi Weimann has completed a loan move to Austrian Bundesliga side SK Rapid Wien until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 34-year-old returns to his home city of Vienna to rejoin the 32-times Austrian champions, where he spent three seasons in youth football as a teenager prior to moving to England.
Previously a Derby County player between 2015 and 2018, Weimann returned to Pride Park Stadium last summer for his second spell with the Rams, making 27 appearances across the current campaign.

He netted a late winner for John Eustace’s side in their 1-0 away success over West Bromwich Albion in September, while the attacker also added three assists – including on his most recent Rams appearance in last week’s 5-0 rout against Bristol City.
The Austrian attacker will be bidding to help Rapid Wien climb the table ahead of the league split, with Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side currently sitting in seventh place, one point outside of the top six.
