Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story will show at Norwich Theatre Royal from February 18 to 21.
The show charts the life, music and untimely death of American rock ‘n’ roll legend Buddy Holly, featuring more than 20 of his hit songs.

It covers Holly’s rise to fame and his final performance at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, before his death on February 3, 1959.
He was 22 when he died in the plane crash later dubbed ‘the day the music died’ by Don McLean in his song American Pie.
In just 18 months, Holly helped shape the direction of modern music, influencing artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.

Audiences can expect to hear classic tracks including That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Oh Boy, Everyday and Rave On.

“This is a testament to a wonderful, extremely talented cast and some of the finest rock ‘n’ roll tunes ever written by the one and only Buddy Holly.”

Buddy ran in the West End for more than 14 years – playing the Victoria Palace, Strand/Novello and Duchess Theatres – making it one of the longest-running shows in London theatre history.
Since opening in the West End in 1989, Buddy has been seen by more than 22 million theatregoers worldwide.
The show has played 4,900 performances over 614 weeks on tour in the UK and Ireland.
