Hull FC are set to record another big crowd at the MKM Stadium.

Hull FC are expecting to post their biggest non-derby opening round crowd in 21 years when they take on Bradford Bulls next week. The Black and Whites host the Bulls at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, 14 February, with Richie Myler confirming to Hull Live that the club are on track to record a bumper gate – the highest of the opening round.

The club have sold over 9,000 memberships for the 2026 season, an increase of nearly 2,000 fans from last year’s membership totals. However, a members’ ticket offer, where members can purchase two additional tickets for £10, not to mention a strong following from Bradford, is set to boost the attendance.

It’s understood that Hull will see a crowd of at least 16,000 for the Bulls opener, with the scope for more should they receive a surge in ticket sales over the next week. They have already confirmed that the east stand unreserved section is sold out, with other areas of the ground selling out. The full lower bowl of the stadium is on sale.

“Hull is a huge club in a huge rugby league city,” Myler told Hull Live. “We believe this is a true hub of rugby league. There will be 16,500 or so fans in for the round one game against Bradford, which is an unbelievable effort.

“We can’t thank our fans enough for that support. Bradford are going to travel well too. It’s going to be a great game and hopefully the start of a great season. We can’t wait.”

Hull’s previous best attendance for an opening round was back in 2024, with a crowd of 20,014 recorded against Hull KR. They saw 17,080 watch their 2005 opener against Leeds.

The club recorded a season average of over 12,000 last season – their best return in years – and have recruited both Tony Sutton and Sian Jones to help drive the club forward this year. They are confident they can post regular crowds of 15,000 as they look to continue their upward trajectory under John Cartwright and co.
