Gordon Ramsay has offered further insight into the wedding of last year between his daughter Holly and Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty. Amid the family fallout on the Peaty side that threatened to overshadow the event, famous chef Gordon has now opened up on drama from his own clan.
In a rare admission about his sibling, Gordon revealed his heroin addict brother Ronnie “begged” to be the musician for the event. Gordon shared his strained relationship with his brother in his upcoming Netflix documentary series.
Ronnie, who busks on the streets, had asked to be a part of the service. However, Gordon says their conversation was “tough”.

Speaking to MailOnline, Gordon explained the conversation he had with his brother weeks before the wedding “still pains me”. He said how his brother had asked about the music and offered his services.
Gordon revealed: “I put down the phone and I said to Tana, “F hell, here we are in the house we sleep in and there’s my little brother still with two pit bulls in a council flat in Birmingham, busking.”
There is just 15 months between Gordon and his younger brother. The pair grew up very tight knit. And Gordon says it’s moments like that phone call that makes him realise the pair are on “opposite ends” of the spectrum as they grew apart.
Gordon’s wife Tana revealed she had hoped to “save” her brother-in-law in the past. She said: “In the first few years after we were married I had this ideal view that I could make Ronnie better. We took him in.

“So many times we tried to fix him, then you actually begin to understand the enormity of the issue and that it’s never going to change until it comes from him. He’s not moved on at all.”
While Gordon deals with his own family, he also wants to “draw a line in the sand” with Adam’s family following their fallout. TThe superstar chef and wife Tana hope to travel to Nottingham to see the mum and dad of the Olympic world record holder after their controversial exclusion from their Christmas wedding.
At the time on the eve of the ceremony, Adam’s heartbroken mother Caroline revealed the fallout had felt like ‘they have cut my heart out’. Until now, Gordon has maintained his silence in public despite appearing to make jibes during his wedding speech.
Now, he has spoken for the first time and claims he wants to have a proper conversation Adam’s mother and his father, Mark. He told the publication: “I would like to go up to Nottingham with Tana and see them and draw a line in the sand.”
Continuing to say it was Holly and Adam’s decision to cut them from the service, he said his family had to respect their decision. “There’s stuff they need to sort out as parents,” Gordon said.
“That’s nothing to do with Tana and me. But we are very mindful we want to move on and allow Holly and Adam to continue starting their lives together.”
