A UK travel company that sold flights to 28 destinations across Asia has ceased trading. According to Companies House, the business dissolved on Tuesday, January 13, after filing to be struck off last October.

Asiara UK Ltd offered package holidays to a number of countries in Asia, including China, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka and Japan. The Ipswich-based firm began as Haivenu Tours before launching in the UK as Asiara Holidays in 2022. However, it ceased trading on Wednesday, January 21, and all holidays booked through the company have now been cancelled.

As reported by The Herald, customers are protected by the Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL). The financial protection scheme guarantees travellers’ money if a company collapses.

According to ATOL, Asiara UK operated with Protected Trust Services (PTS). Their website states: Every Protected Trust Services (PTS) Member shares our mission to keep consumers safe. So whether you’re booking a weekend away or a round-the-world cruise, a staycation or the overseas trip of a lifetime, your money is fully protected.”

On its website, Asiara UK describes itself as the “gateway to Asia”. It adds: “Asia Holidays: Exploring the Wonders of the Continent is your comprehensive guide to embarking on an extraordinary journey across one of the most diverse and captivating continents on Earth.”

The company offered a range of package deals, including 17-day tours to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand as well as a 10-day ‘Island Hopping’ trip to the Philippines.

Other holiday types sold by Asiara included city breaks, bird watching, cruises, cooking and hiking. The business also offered specific honeymoon packages and luxury deals.
