Actress Vicky Myers was inundated with message

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has been flooded with many more messages after she took to social media to respond to the outpouring of love and best wishes she received as she marked a major milestone.
The actress, who is known and loved for playing DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap, was celebrating her 50th birthday on Thursday (February 5), and as her special day drew to a close, she took to social media to admit she was left ‘speechless’ by the messages she had received.
Vicky wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Wow, you have achieved the impossible. I am speechless! ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem quite right, or enough, but that’s all I have right now. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart is full. THANK YOU.”
She then added: “All of your lovely messages will be read and gifts opened this weekend when I have the time to give them the attention and respect they deserve. Thank you so very much. Much love.”
And the messages continued to come flooding in. @allthingsswarla said: “Happy Birthday Queen Victoria – we love you!” @almostserious0 replied: “Happiest birthday Vicky , thank you for existing.” @SwarlaApp posted: “Happy Birthday girly!! We appreciate you soo much!”

Vicky made her debut as Lisa Swain in Corrie back in 2021, before being made a regular back in early 2024. Viewers will recall that the detective sergeant was first brought in to investigate the shocking hate crime assaults on Nina Lucas and her boyfriend Seb Franklin, which led to the latter’s death.
She was then seen working on a number of other cases. However, it wasn’t until early last year that Vicky was signed as a regular cast member, with Lisa having been part of the Weatherfield action ever since, having struck up a relationship with Carla Connor.
However, that wasn’t her first time ever to appear in Corrie. Vicky’s first role was as a nurse in Corrie was in 1998. She acted alongside Denise Welch, who played Natalie Horrocks, and Philip Middlemiss whilst filming Des Barnes’ death scenes in what was a walk-on role. She then later played the driver who came to the rescue after Tyrone and Molly Dobbs had been in a car accident up in the hills.
