Paloma Faith has opened up about the criticism she encounters while expecting her third child, revealing that strangers frequently judge her for continuing to work during pregnancy.
The 44-year-old vocalist took to Instagram on Thursday to address the unsolicited opinions she receives, writing: “Sometimes people frown at me because they think im ‘too pregnant’ to be doing what im doing (I like to work).”
The candid social media post also highlighted hurtful remarks about her appearance, with Ms Faith explaining that questions about whether she is expecting twins leave her “feeling “s**** for 48 hours” afterwards.
Ms Faith was honest about her body during pregnancy, stating: “I’m not and never have been a skinny pregnant woman, I get water retention, I try to not care what people say or think but it’s difficult.”

The performer, who announced her pregnancy in October when she was 18 weeks along, has been open about the physical changes she experiences while carrying a child.
She also addressed the heightened medical supervision required for expectant mothers in their mid-forties, explaining that her pregnancy is classified as “high-risk” due to her age.
Ms Faith wrote in her Instagram post: “There are lots more scans at 44 because it is high risk. There are more blood tests, more worries.”
Despite these additional concerns, the performer expressed profound appreciation for the opportunity to become a mother once more alongside her partner Stevie Thomas, a music venue director.

“Most of all i’m just grateful to be given this chance to share this with my partner and to have one more go at the miracle of life. That trumps it all! I can’t wait for the newborn smell!” she added.
Fans and friends of the Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer flooded her Instagram comments with well-wishes.
