Fans have said they’re ‘obsessed’ with the Carla Connor actress after comments made by her co-stars

Coronation Street fans have been left ‘charmed’ by Alison King as her current and former co-stars revealed her sweet gesture to them off-screen.
While much-loved for playing the Weatherfield woman now, Corrie wasn’t Alison’s first stint on-screen. After studying drama at Groby Community College and working for four years as a dental nurse, the emerging actress landed a role in the now-cancelled soap, Brookside.
She appeared in one episode of the Channel 4 show in 1998 as a character named Helen. She has also even previously appeared in Coronation Street in a different role as Mrs Fanshaw in 2004 and later appeared as Lynda Block in the Sky One drama series Dream Team before she eventually joined Corrie in her more familiar role as Carla two years later.
But away from her Weatherfield alter-ego, it sounds like Alison is quite the support to her co-stars. Speaking in one of their recent podcast episodes, Jack P Shepherd, Ben Price and Colson Smith told how the fan-favourite tried to help them make their flat more ‘homely’ when they lived together.

” Do you remember the Ali King blanket we had in the other flat?” Ben, who is best known for playing Corrie’s Nick Tilsely, asked on the On the Sofa podcast. Colson, who previously played Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, then explained: “Ali King went to The Range to buy us stuff to make the flat homely.”
Jack, who has spent 25 years playing David Platt on the cobbles, commented: “It was so weird. She does that.” Ben confirmed: “We had the blanket for a long time,” but Colson confessed: “We had the blanket and everything else went back in The Range bag and lived in a cupboard. She bought us a pinapple candle…” Ben added: “I don’t think we burnt it.”
The clip of the podcast mentioning Alison has since been shared widely by fans on social media. @carlasmissus wrote: “Ali going to the range to buy colson, jack and ben loads of stuff for their flat [crying emojis].” @loveblanchetts replied: “ali king never change.” @ameliasbrennan commented: “I am so charmed by her.”
@SWAINSCARLAS posted: “She just seems like the sweetest person ever.” @loveforletitia quipped: “Afraid she’ll never beat the ‘everyone’s mam’ allegations.” @connorrswain added: “Obsessed with her.”
