People have been urged to avoid a Guernsey bay after a dead dolphin was found.
Guernsey Police said the animal had been discovered near the groynes sea defences in the Grande Mare side of Vazon Bay.
A post on the force’s Facebook page, external said the Joint Emergency Services Control Centre and GSPCA had been notified and were monitoring the situation, along with Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services (ACLMS) officials.
Police said the advice was to “stay away” from the animal and area and to not touch the dead dolphin.
