The Masked Singer viewers are convinced that one of the masked characters could be a popular daytime television star.
As The Masked Singer returned for another week on ITV, the judges were tasked with figuring out the identities of the remaining contestants after three previous reveals.
The One Show presenter Alex Jones, musician Professor Green and Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon were the first three celebrities to be voted out after the audience chose who to save.
Since then, viewers of the hit ITV show have seen Shakespears Sister singer Marcella Detroit unmasked as Gargoyle, as well as Strictly’s Anton Du Beke and singer Kate Nash.
On Saturday (February 7), the semi-final aired meaning that two stars were to be unmasked. First up, Toastie took to the stage and performed It’s Raining Men.
After a stunning performance, Jonathan Ross gushed: “What a voice you’ve got!” before noting the picture of actress Cynthia Nixon in the clue montage and thinking it could be Jennifer Hudson behind the mask.
However, it was Mo Gilligan who thought it could be Loose Women star Brenda Edwards, and viewers were quick to agree. On X (formerly known as Twitter), @alexpaterson0 wrote: “Toastie has to be Brenda Edwards” .
@michellepryde agreed: “Brenda Edwards was in Sister Act the Musical and the gospel reference leads to that – I still think Toastie is Brenda Edwards”.

Another viewer @pinder1993 was also on the same wavelength after watching the first performance of the night, as they added: “Toastie is 100% Brenda Edwards”.
Brenda joined Loose Women as a guest panellist in 2019, later becoming a permanent fixture on the show. She initially filled in for Linda Robson before securing a regular spot.
Before that, however, she first rose to fame when she reached the semi-finals of The X Factor, finishing the hit ITV show in fourth place before going home.
After her stint on the show, she built a successful career as a West End musical theatre star, and played major roles like Mama Morton in Chicago, Killer Queen in We Will Rock You, and Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray”.
