Amazon customers are raving about a budget smartwatch that has “all the expected functions and more”. To sweeten the deal, Amazon has slashed its low price even further for a limited time.

The LIGE Military Smartwatch with GPS is usually sold for £69.99, but it is currently on sale at just £50.99. Many shoppers have been praising the affordable gadget as being of “good quality” and boasting “plenty of features”, with some even comparing it to pricier models.

Amazon describes the military-grade GPS sports smartwatch as being “designed for adventurers and health enthusiasts”, but customers have found it equally suitable for everyday wear thanks to its “sleek” stainless steel band. The “exceptionally durable” device has been tested to “withstand extreme conditions”, making it “a reliable companion for all health needs”.

This feature-packed watch includes a compass, barometer, and altimeter, providing real-time data in any environment. It also resembles high-end smartwatches from brands like Apple or FitBit, offering the ability to make and answer calls via its built-in speakers and microphone.

And it provides real-time alerts for calls and messages from WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Snapchat and other social media platforms. According to the manufacturers, the built-in AI assistant can handle tasks like weather checks, setting alarms and managing music, reports the Daily Record.

The smartwatch boasts “advanced sensors” for real-time tracking of heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep patterns, and stress levels. It also supports over 170 sports modes to monitor various workouts.

The device uses biometric recognition to ensure accurate health data, which is synced to the “GloryFit Pro” app. This app provides a detailed overview of health progress and sleep analysis, encouraging people to adopt healthier habits.

For those wanting an affordable entry into the world of smartwatches without breaking the bank, there are similar devices available. For instance, Sports Direct is offering this Karrimor Smart Watch (£19.99, down from £49.99) and the Reflex Active Series 23 Smart Watch from Currys (£39.99), but people have been raving most about this Amazon deal.

One customer said: “The watch is very easy to set up, it also has plenty of choice on the app for different exercises, I have used it to make calls, listen to music, plus a choice of screens available. The watch connects easily with Bluetooth, you have different wrist straps that are interchangeable based on the occasion. It is a competitive price which is much lower than that of the big brands. Good value for money.”

Another added: “Loved it since day one. Does everything right there on your wrist. Highly recommended!” A third wrote: “Very good for the price and has all the expected functions and more. I have had other smart watches from more expensive brands that weren’t half as good.”

However, some had problems, with one claiming: “For the first two days, I loved this watch. Its swim settings were great, but on the second day, the buttons stopped working.” Another warned: “On an aesthetic level, the watch seems robust, but upon closer inspection, the finishes leave something to be desired.”

One more noted: “The pedometer seems to have a life of its own, frequently misreporting steps (checked against a second watch and my Android.” Yet not all feedback was so poor, with plenty of people awarding it top marks.

One said: “The premium finish and sturdy metal housing make it both stylish and durable. Its screen provides an impressive experience with vibrant colours. Whether you want to listen to music, check the weather, control your smartphone camera or use the many built-in tools, this watch adapts to all your daily needs.”

Another customer said in their review: “I really liked it for its robust design and its many features. It comes with two straps that allow it to be adapted to different styles. With its gray metal case and military look, this watch is both elegant and durable, ideal for athletes or adventurers.”

A fifth added: “The watch makes a good impression right away. I was impressed by its sturdy design, which makes it look both military and stylish. The 48mm size is perfect for my wrist. [The screen has] vibrant colors and excellent readability, even in bright sunlight.”

And another shopper posted: “The health tracking features are impressive. I particularly appreciate the 24-hour monitoring of my heart rate and the measurements of my physical activity. The compass and altimeter are also very useful for my outdoor adventures in the mountains. And being able to receive calls directly on my watch is a real plus, allowing me to stay connected without having to take out my phone.”
