The channel is associated with The Simpsons and other classic shows from the 90s and 00s.

The revived channel will be replacing Sky Showcase and Sky Max on the TV guide.

It may come as a surprise that Sky One was only axed as recently as 2021.

But the broadcasting giant has decided it’s time for a return after five years away.

It will return on Tuesday, February 24 on channel 106.

Sky Showcase and Sky Max are to be ditched, bringing and end to a short-lived experiment with the two channels.

Bosses said Sky One will become the home of Sky’s comedy and entertainment programmes.

It will also show the much-anticipated new UK version of Saturday Night Live, set to launch later this year.

“Our goal is to make it easier than ever for Sky TV customers to find and enjoy the shows they love,” stated Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV and NOW.

“Building on the iconic heritage of Sky One, the channel will be a one-of-a-kind destination that’s big, bold and bursting with energy, bringing together brand-new Sky Originals like The Dyers’ Caravan Park, returning favourites such as Rob and Romesh Vs., and serving as the home of the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.”
