In the Premier League era, Eden Hazard and Cole Palmer are two of the best footballers to have played for Chelsea.
Palmer has proven his credentials once again after scoring a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Palmer’s three goals saw him make history as the attacking midfielder set a record at Molineux.

As for Hazard, he has the goals and the trophies to cement his status as one of Chelsea’s greatest ever.

Like Palmer, Hazard has also managed to score a hat-trick in the Premier League. In fact, he did so on this exact day 12 years ago.
In the 2013/14 season, Chelsea took on Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge and won 3-0, with Hazard netting all three goals.
The retired winger scored twice from open play and once from the penalty spot. His second goal saw him combine excellently with Samuel Eto’o before putting the ball into the back of Newcastle’s net.

The very same season, Eto’o was also able to score a hat-trick, punishing Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Fast forward to now, Palmer is the one bagging hat-tricks for Chelsea. And at 23, there will be more to come.

Hazard is a Chelsea great, but following his treble at Molineux, Palmer has double the number of hat-tricks that the former Belgium international has in the Premier League.
Hazard only ever recorded two, with his second coming against Cardiff City in his final season at Chelsea.
Palmer, on the other hand, is now on four after his latest versus Wolves. Before that, the 23-year-old scored hat-tricks against Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton and United.
This is only Palmer’s third season at Chelsea as well. He has had no trouble doing what Hazard did for the club during his days in west London.
With Palmer looking back to his best again, Chelsea supporters will be hoping to see their talisman bag another hat-trick before the campaign ends.
