Korea Economic Daily has a report out that publishing giant Nexon is working with Blizzard on a shooter set in the Starcraft universe. It was a few months ago when news of a joint venture between the two companies was reported. The original report by by Korean news site MTN has said that Blizzard has chosen Nexon to potentially work with on both a StarCraft title and an Overwatch Mobile game.

According to this new report by KED, Nexon has finished preparations, creating an organzation focused on the Starcraft IP. It will go under their ‘Shooting Division’. That group are responsible for the game Sudden Attack, among others. Starcraft going under that division is why KED believes the title could be a first or third-person shooter instead of a strategy title like the series is known for.

Starcraft Ghost was an original Xbox game that was seemingly close to completion befor being canceled some twenty+ years ago. We will have to wait and see just what Blizzard has planned for the future. For now, the company’s recent livestreams around their major IP have fans excited that the industry behemoth has finally figured things out under Microsoft’s stewardship. Overwatch recently dropped the 2 and is introducing 5 new charcters this week, as ax example.
