[WATCH] Team India Players Enjoy Light-Hearted Moments During T20 World Cup 2026 Photoshoot

Team India players were seen enjoying a light-hearted photoshoot ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. The Men in Blue are set to kick off their campaign against the USA on Saturday, February 7, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Several Indian stars, including Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, captain Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Shivam Dube, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya, were part of the shoot.

During the session, Axar was busy posing for the camera when Abhishek jokingly teased him by calling him “Iron Man,” adding to the fun atmosphere.

“Iron man aaye hai (Iron man is here),” he said.

Axar responded to the banter with a laugh, saying that his team nickname, Baapu, was more than enough for him. The video also showed Abhishek fixing his hair at the beginning, while Kishan was seen playing a defensive shot with a bat during the shoot.

“Shoot pe only defense (only defense during shoot),” he said.

The Team India players appeared to be in a cheerful mood, sharing laughs and soaking in a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere during the photoshoot ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

India Set To Defend Their T20 World Cup Crown

India enter the 2026 T20 World Cup as the reigning champions, having clinched the title in 2024 with a victory over South Africa in the final. Led by Suryakumar Yadav, the Men in Blue will be keen to successfully defend their crown this time.

That said, history presents a tough challenge. No team has ever defended a T20 World Cup title, and a host nation is yet to win the tournament. India are co-hosting the 2026 edition alongside Sri Lanka, adding another layer to the challenge.

Despite these hurdles, India head into the competition in excellent form. They recently thumped New Zealand 4-1 in a five-match T20I series and carried that momentum into the warm-up games, registering a convincing 30-run win over South Africa.

Given their current run and squad strength, India start the tournament as clear favourites and one of the leading contenders to lift the trophy once again.
