Dog walker Steve Borrett discovered the common dolphins on Friday on Pakefield beach.

“They appeared unharmed apart from some damage which appeared to be from being washed ashore,” he explained.

He added: “It was poor weather and rough seas.”

In February last year, a dolphin was found dead on Kessingland beach.

At the time, Carl Chapman of Wildlife Tours & Education, suggested several reasons as to why they died.

This included disease, being hit by a sea-going vessel, being caught in fishing nets or even drowning.

He said that more dolphins are being seen on the Norfolk and Suffolk shores due to the sea being warmed by climate change.

It was revealed that 27 dolphins washed up on the Cornish coast in January this year.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust confirmed that a number of these animals died as a result of getting caught in fishing nets, known as bycatch.
