They’re not keeping this one a dirty little secret, because The All-American Rejects have just announced a set of shows across Europe as part of the ‘Recess Tour’ this summer. This will see the band play two headline shows in the UK, first at Manchester Academy, which comes ahead of a London show at the Kentish Town Forum on June 16.
Prior to the two UK gigs, they’ll play a slot at Download Festival, with shows in mainland Europe on either side of the UK run, featuring stops in Warsaw, Berlin, Paris, and more.

It comes in a big year for the band, who will release their first album in 13 years in a few months. Sandbox, their fifth studio album, is coming on May 15, and is the follow-up to their 2012 record, Kids In The Street.
In fact, these show will technically be their first London gig since 2012, when they appeared at the O2 Arena as part of a UK tour. More recently, however, they have played close to the city at Slam Dunk festival 2024 in Hatfield – though this was the band’s first show in the UK in a decade.
