Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Next week on Hollyoaks, a number of popular former characters return to the soap for a special John Paul-centred ‘what if’ episode, celebrating 20 years of the McQueen family. Meanwhile, Vicky gets a dream opportunity that goes horribly wrong, while Mercedes wants to find out more about Jake, aka Jenson.

Monday 16 February – Episode 6680 1. Vicky’s dream becomes a nightmare

Vicky is excited as she prepares to pursue a modelling career, after being spotted by talent scout Miles. However, Gemma isn’t too enthusiastic about her sister’s new opportunity, and Vicky suspects that she is just jealous.
She gets a message from Miles, who says that his client has shown interest in hiring her for a job in London – it’s an opportunity that Vicky can’t turn down. But later while she’s at her modelling photoshoot audition, a comment from Miles leaves her heartbroken…
2. Dillon comes clean

Dillon decides to tell Misbah that he has invested his money in Donny’s pizza business. He is concerned about what his auntie might think, considering her and Donny’s recent split, and he offers to pull out of the deal.
Will Misbah approve, or will she force Dillon to cut ties with Donny?
3. Ste makes an enemy

Ste and Rex are eager to celebrate that they’re now fiancés, so they send out invitations to their engagement party. But this doesn’t go down with Jack and Pearl, who are also planning their own engagement celebration.
Jack encourages Ste to change the date of his engagement party, but will he be persuaded?
4. Dodger voices his suspicions

Nancy is horrified when she finds a vial of steroids in her son Oscar’s bag. Despite John Paul’s protests, she calls the police – and Dodger arrives at the school with Smithy to carry out a classroom search as they suspect this is part of a wider operation.
Prince is horrified when John Paul fills him in on the police search. But when Dodger arrives, he confesses that he believes his colleague Smithy is corrupt. Will Prince and John Paul be honest about their own involvement?
5. Mercedes investigates

In the rehab clinic, Nikki hatches a plan and fakes an injury, which allows Mercedes to sneakily gain access to fellow patient Jake’s records.
Why is Mercedes looking for information, and will she discover that Jake’s real name is Jenson?
6. Warren makes a discovery

At the McQueens’ house, Warren and Theresa team up to look over the CCTV footage from the club – and when Warren spots a familiar face, he becomes even more desperate for revenge.
Who has been spotted, and how will Warren decide to get his own back?
Tuesday 17 February – Episode 66817. Smithy is arrested

Dodger finds out that Smithy has called a meeting with Prince and John Paul, so he reaches out to Superintendent Singh and explains that he is worried for the pair’s safety. When Prince and John Paul refuse to get into Smithy’s car, Prince ends up on the floor with a bloody nose.
However, before things can get any worse, Dodger arrives on the scene and officially arrests Smithy. Meanwhile, furious Nancy heads to see the McQueens and demands answers about the drugs.
8. Gemma makes a promise

Donny is concerned about his daughter, so reminds Gemma that Vicky isn’t as tough as she looks. Gemma tells her dad that despite her secret scheming, she really cares for Vicky and promises to look out for her sister.
Gemma then calls Vicky to ask where she is, but over the phone she can hear her sister screaming for help after being grabbed! What has happened to Vicky, and will she be okay?
9. Theresa gets a warning
Lime Pictures
As Smithy is taken into custody, he warns Dodger that Sully will soon come for him. Sure enough, at the station Dodger later receives a parcel from prison containing headphones. Sully is on the other end, and demands that Dodger follows his orders, as the McQueens are in danger.
Theresa then gets a call from Dodger, who urges her and everyone else currently in the McQueen house to remain there.
Wednesday 18 February – Episode 668210. Dodger follows orders

With the McQueen household in lockdown, Dodger feels he can’t trust anyone and believes that Sully is watching his every move. He has no choice but to follow the commands of Sully, in order to protect his girlfriend Theresa and her family.

11. John Paul reflects
Lime Pictures
While stuck in the safe house with his family, John Paul has time to reflect on his life and imagines what would have happened if he had made alternative choices – such as never coming out to his family.
For this special ‘what if’ episode, Hollyoaks is bringing back former characters Carmel, Michaela, Tina, Sylver and Sally. A series of fantasy scenarios unfold, leading John Paul to make a life-changing decision…
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
