Mobile UK launches new national SMS fraud tracker
Industry trade group Mobile UK has announced a new national SMS fraud tracker. Launched to coincide with Safer Internet Day (10 February), this will track how many scam SMS messages were blocked in the previous month, and how many have been blocked in total by UK mobile networks. To date, mobile networks have blocked 2.7 billion scam SMS messages, including 97 million in January 2026.
