The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is Too Kyo Game first fully-owned and original IP, and it was led by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka. The project put the studio’s future on the line, all in order to achieve a game with unprecedented volume, totaling 100 different endings and a scenario exceeding 6,000,000 Japanese characters. You’d think that would be more than enough content for one game, but apparently that’s far from the case.

In a chat with Weeby Newz, Hundred Line creator Kazutaka Kodaka opened up about the future of the game. We’ve heard Kodaka talk a few times now about the desire to add more content, expand with an anime, create a Switch 2 version and so much more. When it comes to the content side of things, apparently Kodaka wants to keep The Hundred Line going for at least a decade.

“Since the game already includes so many genres such as the Romance Route and the S.F. Route, it means we can add almost any kind of story. I’d like to keep expanding it into like 200 lines, 300 lines, or even 400 lines – as many routes as we can imagine, a game people have never seen before. Ultimately, I’d love for it to grow into something that can keep going for around ten years.”

We don’t know if Kodaka will be able to achieve his goal of expanding The Hundred Line to 400 routes over 10 years, but it’s certainly inspiring to see the passion. Just how many more routes can Kodaka and his team come up with? Let’s hope we get to see through various DLC drops and more in the years to come!
