Dallas is one of the first ATP 500 events of the year and, as expected, it features a lot of American players looking to win a significant title on home soil. On a quick surface like this one, players like Tommy Paul, Sebastian Korda, Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz, who will all be in action this Wednesday, can certainly go all the way if they manage to play their best this week.

ATP Dallas Day 3 Predictions
Alex Michelsen vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

Head-to-head: first meeting

Davidovich Fokina is still hunting for a first career title, and it was at U.S. hard court events last year that he has come the closest so far. He certainly has the ability to beat anyone in the draw, but at the same time he has no easy matches in prospect, with the rising Alex Michelsen certainly more than capable of causing issues or even beating him.
Prediction: Davidovich Fokina in 3

Frances Tiafoe vs Sebastian Korda

Head-to-head: Tiafoe 4-3 Korda

The matchup has been very even so far and, as usual, it’s very hard to call who will win here. Both players are currently far from their best days and are desperately trying to gain some momentum back. Under normal circumstances, it should be a close affair, dominated by serve and decided by a few key points and possibly even tiebreaks.
Prediction: Korda in 3

Tommy Paul vs Jenson Brooksby

Head-to-head: Paul 3-1 Brooksby

Paul won a very long and close three setter when the pair faced in this tournament last year, and we could well have a similarly tight affair this time around. Both players can play very consistently from the baseline and make themselves very tough to beat, so it should be a match filled with long rallies and some great points, decided by execution on big points.
Prediction: Paul in 3
