Today we’re launching Dezeen Awards 2026, in partnership with Trimble, our new headline sponsor, beginning this year’s search for the best buildings, interiors and designs around the world.

Alongside our 49 project awards, this year we’ve made one significant and exciting addition. For our 2026 edition, we will publish three Top 50 lists that celebrate the best projects in three regions globally: Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas.

Every project entered into this year’s awards can also be entered into the Regional Showcases. Our world-renowned judges will continue to choose the winners of Dezeen Awards, while these new Regional Showcases will be chosen by Dezeen’s editors. The trio of Top 50 lists will be published in September ahead of our shortlist announcements.

Readers to vote for their favourite projects

We’ll also be running a public vote this year! Our shortlists are announced in September and in early October our readers will be asked to vote for their favourite project, meaning this year there are more opportunities to be crowned a Dezeen Awards winner.

Last year we shortlisted 270 practices, with more than 500 designers attending the Dezeen Awards party in London. We had just under 50 nationalities attend this one evening – it was humbling that so many of you travelled from countries as far away as Australia, China and Japan. Incredibly, 37 per cent of our winners last year came from Asia Pacific, highlighting the outstanding work being created in this part of the world.

We’re excited to see what projects you will enter this year! Dezeen has always been about championing talent, spotting innovation and supporting emerging voices and Dezeen Awards can’t exist without you and your exceptional work.

Once again, we’ve kept our accessible entry prices – which are still amongst the lowest in our industry – to enable any studio to enter. Our affordable entry prices are one of our founding principles and enable two-thirds of our entries to be submitted by studios that employ 10 people and under.

We’re proud to support companies, no matter what size or scale. Our shortlists consist of entries submitted by international studios that have multiple offices around the world through to small studios, which might just have a team of five.

Dezeen Awards can take careers to the next level

Why should you enter? Being shortlisted or winning ensures your work is published to our huge audience of 10 million built up over two decades – we feature all winners on Dezeen and our social channels and our Instagram alone has 3.6 million followers.

Dezeen Awards can help launch careers or take them to the next level, as many of our winners have attested. Plus, an industry study published by online magazine Event Industry News last year reported that winning an award increased work coming through the door by between 39 to 63 per cent. It can attract clients and build careers, but it’s also a great way to motivate your team.

A couple of other things to highlight for this year. You’ll now find our five sustainability categories within our architecture, interiors and design sectors. We ask for sustainability information for all our projects, which is simply the right thing to do, but these categories are for those exemplary projects that go over and beyond. As a reminder, they are sustainable building, sustainable renovation, sustainable interior, sustainable design and material innovation.

We’re very excited to be joined this year by our new headline sponsor. Through its pioneering technology, including products such as visualisation and collaboration tool SketchUp, Trimble helps designers transform the way they shape spaces and buildings, as well as drive productivity in the process.

“We are delighted to team up with Dezeen Awards, which celebrates the very best in global design,” Trimble’s Chief marketing officer Heather Adkins said.

“Creativity, originality and innovation are at the heart of what we do, and this collaboration allows us to support the designers and architects shaping the future of the industry. We look forward to seeing this year’s edition continue to inspire and champion creative excellence worldwide.”

Entries are open! Head to our online entry platform to enter. And remember, if you enter before 25 March you’ll save 20 per cent. Good luck!
