Permission has been granted for a new wind farm 30 miles (48km) off the Lincolnshire coast.

Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm, featuring 100 turbines, will be built in the southern north sea and is unlikely to be visible from land.

The application, submitted by GT R4 Limited, was granted development consent by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Developers have said the turbine field would generate 1.5 gigawatts (GW), providing enough green energy to power 1.5 million homes.
