The CountryBox: Where Music Meets Boxing website lists this as an active show for Tuesday, with Craig Parker and Evan Holyfield on the card, and CJ Garton as the musical act. But… It’s not on BoxRec, it’s not on TrillerTV, and the next event you can buy tickets for isn’t until September 2nd. It’s a lot likelier those three platforms removed a cancelled or postponed event, and the CountryBox: Where Music Meets Boxing site just hasn’t updated accordingly.
Friday, August 8th
DAZN, 1:30 pm ET, Mirco Cuello vs Sergio Rios. Official name of this event is “KO a las Drogas AMB,” comin’ at ya from Benghazi, Libya. Main event is for an interim WBA featherweight title. Two-time Olympic silver medalist Sofiane Oumiha appears in support, as does consensus Top 5 light heavyweight Albert Ramirez. This is the biggest (and possibly only) televised boxing show you can see in the USA this week, so grab a late lunch or knock off early Friday afternoon if you need to watch your weekly fix.
