Unlike previous years, the ATP 500 Rotterdam doesn’t feature the very best players in the world this year, but we still have a mouthwatering quarterfinal lineup, with several top level indoor players still in the draw and some very interesting matchups in prospect. This Friday should be an absolutely amazing day of tennis in the Dutch capital.
ATP Rotterdam Quarterfinal Predictions
Ugo Humbert vs Christopher O’Connell
Head-to-head: Humbert 1-1 O’Connell
Humbert had a disappointing 2025 and will be looking to get back up the rankings in 2026. Indoors is where most of his career successes have come, among which four of his seven career titles, six of his eleven finals and his only ever Masters 1000 final appearance. He is yet to win an ATP 500 event indoors but he definitely has an excellent chance to do that this week, especially judging by the level he showed against Daniil Medvedev in the first round. Under normal conditions, he should make short work of O’Connell.
Prediction: Humbert in 2
Jaume Munar vs Alexander Bublik
Head-to-head: Munar 1-0 Bublik
Bublik has turned into a completely different player in the last year, but the same is true for Munar, who has notched several big wins since early 2025, including one over Bublik himself in the first round at Wimbledon. His relentless consistency from the baseline might very well find a way to frustrate Bublik yet again here.
Prediction: Munar in 3
Alex de Minaur vs Botic Van De Zandschulp
Head-to-head: De Minaur 3-0 Van de Zandschulp
The Dutchman got an excellent win over Stefanos Tsitsipas Thursday, but de Minaur is a significant step up at this point as he has become one of the most consistent and tough to beat players on tour for everyone aside from the very top players. What’s more, de Minaur reached the final of the previous two editions of this event, only being stopped by Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, and his performances so far this week against Arthur Fils and Stan Wawrinka confirm that he is very comfortable on this surface and that it will take a very high level to beat him this week.
Prediction: De Minaur in 2
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Tallon Griekspoor
Head-to-head: Auger-Aliassime 2-1 Griekspoor
Griekspoor has made two previous run to the semifinals at this event, losing to Jannik Sinner both times. He is playing at home, likes the conditions, and is playing well so far this week, but he’s facing a player who has won eight of his nine career titles so far indoors. Auger-Aliassime is a top 5 level player indoors and he has had plenty of success in Rotterdam as well, reaching the final against Gael Monfils in 2020 and winning his first ever career title in 2022 against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Griekspoor has the game to make it close, but Auger-Aliassime should have the edge on this surface.
Prediction: Auger-Aliassime in 3
