Chinese robotics player LimX Dynamics has officially unveiled its full-sized general-purpose humanoid robot, LimX Oli, marking a significant step forward in embodied AI robotics.
Designed for use by AI researchers, robotics engineers, and integration specialists, LimX Oli comes in three variants—Lite, EDU, and Super—starting at RMB 158,000 (around $21,800).
The robot features a modular architecture, flexible hardware-software design, and a scalable development toolchain, according to media reports. Its open SDK enables full access to sensor data, joint control, and task scheduling, offering a powerful platform for both research and real-world deployment.
LimX Oli comes in Lite, EDU, and Super versions for AI researchers and system integrators. To promote the EDU model, LimX is offering a limited buy-one-get-one-free deal: the first 50 buyers get a TRON 1 EDU bipedal robot free.
In May 2025, the Shenzhen-based firm showcased its CL-3 humanoid robot performing human-like actions, including stretching and twisting, in a demonstration video.
Humanoid handles all
In the video released by the firm, LimX’s humanoid robot, Oli, mimics a typical human day across various real-world scenarios.
In order to demonstrate its human-like upper body strength and coordination, Oli lifts dumbbells at a gym at the start of the sequence. After that, it goes outside to perform Chinese kung fu with a human trainer, showcasing its balance and fluid mobility.
As the scene shifts to an industrial setting, Oli is seen picking up and sorting things quickly in a warehouse, demonstrating his agility and usefulness in logistics.
The robot’s capacity to switch arms with different attachments, such as normal hands, precision grippers, and agile robotic hands, is also demonstrated in the movie. Oli can handle a variety of activities in a variety of locations because of this modular architecture.
Toward the end of the work session, the robot is deliberately kicked from behind to test its balance.
Oli dynamically adjusts its posture and regains composure, emphasizing its full-body disturbance recovery capabilities. As the day wraps up, the robot enters a leisure mode, grooving and dancing to music with impressive rhythm and movement.
The video positions Oli as a machine and a versatile humanoid adaptable to both work and play.
