Amnesty International UK is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive, Kerry Moscogiuri.
Kerry has served as a member of Senior Management here for 25 years, first as Director of Marketing and then as Director of Campaigns and Communications. Since November 2025 Kerry has been the Interim Chief Executive for the organisation.
Helen Horton Chair of Amnesty International UK Section Board, and Sandy Ruthven Chair of Amnesty International UK Section Charitable Trust Board said:
“At a time when human rights and international law are under severe attack across the world, Amnesty International UK needs an inspirational leader able to articulate why freedom, dignity and fairness are at the heart of values we hold as a democratic society, we are certain Kerry will guide us through the many challenges we face and bring a deep understanding of and commitment to our work and to our unique movement of people.
“We welcome Kerry’s open and collaborative approach to leadership as well as her ambition for what we can achieve as Amnesty International UK. Throughout her extensive career with Amnesty International UK, Kerry has developed an impressive track record in driving the organisation forward across all aspects of our work and shown both remarkable dedication and exceptional personal and professional qualities.
“We are delighted to welcome her now as Chief Executive of Amnesty International UK, and we greatly look forward to working with her in this role at such a crucial time for human rights.”
Kerry Moscogiuri said:
“I am humbled and honoured to take on this enormously important role for an organisation to which I have dedicated so much of my life, and which has such a crucial role to play in championing human rights at a moment of profound urgency.
“As Amnesty International marks its 65th year, attacks on our freedoms are coming from every direction. In recent years the world has begun to feel markedly harsher, more uncertain and less safe for all of us than at any point in the past few decades. From its earliest days, Amnesty International has stood at the forefront of the fight for a more just, safe and equitable world, and its name has become synonymous with human rights. I look forward to working with our Boards, staff, members, international colleagues, partner organisations and our incredible supporters across the UK to build on all that Amnesty has achieved and ensure that human rights become – and remain – the foundation of our society.”
