A new rumour from the well-known Jon Prosser has revealed details about the iPhone 17e. The device is rumoured to launch on Feb. 19. Prosser says the device will start at US$599 (C$815) for 256GB of storage, which is the same price as the 16e in the U.S., with lower storage.
According to Prosser, the iPhone 17e will have a refreshed design that might replace the notch on the previous iPhone 16e. However, Prosser says he can’t confirm this.
The device is also rumoured to sport some similarities with the 16e, including a 60Hz refresh rate display and a 4,000mAh battery. Prosser also says the device will sport a 48-megapixel camera with better low-light performance, and an 18-megapixel front-facing shooter with Center Stage support.
Other details include 8GB of RAM, MagSafe support, and come in black and white colour options, but Apple also tested out a Lavender colour option as well, though it’s unclear if it made the cut. Additionally, it features the A19 chip, but it might be a lower-power version of the chip compared to what’s in the A17.
