Netflix has just dropped the trailer for its upcoming horror series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. Described as “horror’s take on a woman becoming a wife”, the new series stars The Night Manager’s Camila Morrone opposite The White Lotus star Adam DiMarco.
The atmospheric horror sees the respective pair portray bride-and-groom duo Rachel and Nicky, with the action following them in the week leading up to their “ill-fated nuptials”.
The synopsis reads: “Rachel is getting married in five days. Together with her fiancé, Nicky, she embarks on a road trip to his family’s vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams.
“Which really would be so lovely, except… prone to superstition and paranoia, Rachel can’t shake the relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen.
“Her foreboding doubts, coupled with a series of eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises, force her to ask the question: What makes two people soulmates? And worse — what could be scarier than lifelong commitment to the wrong person?”
Per the new teaser trailer, which was released today, it looks like something very bad is indeed going to happen, and the tension builds throughout.

The opening scene sees Morrone’s character walk into shot dressed in a wedding dress while breathing heavily, before saying: “I’m sorry.”
As the anxiety-filled trailer continues, Rachel walks down the aisle while clips of various characters apologising play. One notable clip shows an undisclosed character holding up a piece of paper that reads: “Don’t marry him.”
Whether or not Rachel will go ahead with marrying Nicky remains to be seen. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out, as the series is slated for release on Netflix on 26 March.
Joining Morrone and DiMarco in the cast are Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine and Sawyer Fraser.
