The team received the gift from the MWL NHS Charity, for the care, compassion, and kindness they show every single day.
The nomination came from Community Phlebotomy Lead, Eran Stocks, who wanted to shine a little extra love on a team that pours theirs into every patient interaction.
She said, “The St Helens Community Phlebotomy Team truly goes above and beyond every day, bringing kindness, patience, and reassurance to every patient.
“They understand that a simple blood test can be daunting, and they take the time to make people feel calm, cared for, and respected, often turning nerves into smiles.
“I am so proud of their compassion, professionalism, and dedication and I could not be more delighted to present this Valentine’s treat as a thank you for the vital work they do and the warmth they bring to the community.”
Chief Executive Rob Cooper also added his heartfelt appreciation, recognising the team’s tireless efforts, “This Valentine’s gesture celebrates a team whose daily acts of care often go unseen but never unfelt.
“From soothing anxious patients to brightening someone’s morning with a reassuring word, the St Helens Community Phlebotomy Team continues to show that healthcare is at its best when delivered with heart.”
