Jamie Webster has shared a career update as he prepares for the release of his new album. Previous albums released by the Scouse musician include We Get By, Moments and 10 for the People. He told fans today that he was in the studio recording.
In a post to Instagram today, February 14, Jamie said: “Mornings at Rockfield Studios. Five years I’ve been coming here now and it gets better every time. Album four is cooking. I hope you are ready.”
The post was liked by over 1,000 people as excited fans took to the comments. Former UFC star Molly McCann wrote: “More than ready my boy” as another comment said: “Really looking forward to No.4 mate. And I’m a screaming heavy metaller.”
Further replies included: “Excellent news Jamie. Can’t wait. More than ready for number four” and “I am more than ready for this i can’t wait.”
Jamie shot to fame singing songs about Liverpool Football Club and the city of Liverpool. The singer’s version of “Allez Allez Allez” and other chants continue to be sung in Anfield.
Jamie’s debut album, known for its heartfelt lyrics about life in his native Liverpool, was released back in 2020 through Modern Sky UK. It reached number six on the UK Albums Chart and topped the newly formed UK Official Folk Album Charts.

Although Jamie has managed to establish a name for himself away from the football songs, he remains a regular face in the crowd at Anfield. Last month, the singer shared a photo from the stadium to to his Instagram page as he posed alongside comedy legend Ricky Tomlinson.
He said: “Lucky to be able to work with this legend at Sefton Park. Luckier to get to watch the match with him most weeks. Luckiest to be able to call him a mate. Ricky”, alongside a red heart emoji.
He previously told the ECHO how he felt his fate as an artist was in the hands of other people who only wanted one side of his music. He said: “It was hard, it got me down. Some days I couldn’t get out of bed – thinking ‘what am I even trying for?’ As a singer-songwriter, this is what wakes me up in the morning and puts a spring in my step.”
In 2023, the artist made the decision to take a break from BOSS Nights, an event dedicated to Liverpool FC music. He wrote on X: “The BOSS Nights this weekend will be the last time I sing LFC songs for the foreseeable future. I’d like to thank everyone for all the support over the years. It’s not goodbye forever, it’s just goodbye for now.”
