Call the Midwife star teases return of character in series finale
Call the Midwife fans are eagerly anticipating their next visit to Nonnatus House, with everyone rallying round when a young father receives some disturbing news.
BBC Call the Midwife returns this evening, Sunday, February 15, at 8pm for its latest instalment, following concerns amongst viewers about Sister Monica Joan’s (played by Judy Parfitt) future on the programme.
Fortunately, everything was resolved by the conclusion of episode five, and attention has now shifted to what lies ahead, and who will appear, in series 15, episode six.

Tony Bianchi is an expectant father, but following an unexpected diagnosis, he faces the challenge of accepting his situation before his baby arrives.
Actor Steffan Rizzi is relatively new to television, having appeared in just a handful of minor roles in Welsh programme Pobol y Cwm and Disney+’s Extraordinary.
Tina Bianchi – Charlotte Beaumont

Actress Charlotte Beaumont features in one of Britain’s most popular crime dramas, ITV’s Broadchurch, portraying Chloe Latimer, the elder sister of series one victim Danny Latimer.
Waterloo Road viewers may also remember her from Beaumont’s 2015 appearance in the BBC teen drama as Kenzie Calhoun.
In Call the Midwife, Beaumont plays Tony’s heavily pregnant wife Tina.
Gwen Savage – Emma Symmonds

Trixie Franklin (Helen George) encounters an unusual case when she begins treating female wrestler Gwen Savage for a puzzling illness.
The character of Gwen is portrayed by actress Emma Symmonds, a relative newcomer to the acting scene, with her only other credit listed on IMDb being 2020’s Beetlejuice: The Online Musical.
Geoffrey Franklin – Christopher Harper

Returning to his role as Trixie’s brother Geoffrey Franklin is actor Christopher Harper, best known to Coronation Street fans for his portrayal of the villainous Nathan Curtis.
Harper has been appearing intermittently in Call the Midwife since 2023. This time around, images have emerged of him sharing an intimate conversation with Sister Veronica (Rebecca Gethings), but what exactly does he need to discuss?
