Announcing the passing of a loved one in local news media is a long standing tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to make these important announcements. Every notice published to our newspaper and news site also appears on funeral-notices.co.uk – the UK’s number one site for death notices and memoriams.

Every notice remains online forever providing friends and families with a lifelong tribute to their loved one, a safe place online to share memories, add tributes, photographs and make donations in memory. Each week we pay tribute to the loved ones remembered in our area with a funeral notice and online tribute page.

To read the latest announcements and add tributes to those from our area who have passed away, or to create a funeral notice yourself, click here. Alternatively, you can create a notice by calling our helpful team on 01482 908084. Here are a selection of notices published earlier this week.

(Robson) Windy Nook. My Mam, My Grandma. It’s been a year without you, and the emptiness in our hearts is indescribable. We spent every single day with you, and now the world feels quiet and lonely. You were our safe place, our comfort, our everything. You always listened, understood, and knew just what to say. You were loving, caring, and endlessly kind, even when life was unfair. You faced more than anyone should, yet you never stopped giving love unconditionally. We miss your voice, your smile, the way you made even the smallest moments feel safe and warm. We miss telling you things, sharing our day, just being with you. We miss your laughter, the kind that turned into belly laughs and made the world feel lighter. Life feels heavier without you in it. Mam, Grandma, you are the strongest person we have ever known, and we will carry your strength and love with us everyday. You are everything to us and the memories we have are unforgettable.
