A Greater Manchester restaurant has hit out after a group of shameless dine and dash customers were caught on CCTV walking out after failing to pay their £230 bill.
The table of four indulged in cocktails, spirits, fillet steaks and desserts at the Chadderton Bar and Grill, a Mediterranean restaurant on Middleton Road in Chadderton before leaving without settling up. Owner Lokman has described how they sneakily staggered their exit on Saturday night (February 14).
Pictures of the bill showed how the party placed orders for two fillet steaks, priced at £26.95 each, as well as pizzas and portions of Frederick’s ice cream, and drinks including Malibu and coke and eight pornstar martinis.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, owner Lokman said the group arrived without a booking at around 7pm. He said: “They hadn’t booked and we were quite busy. It was two ladies and one gentleman and they wanted a table but had to wait.

“After 15 minutes they got a table and order cocktails, double Malbius, food and dessert. Their friend also came to join them. One girl went out first for a smoke, then the others followed after about five minutes.
“I was serving another table taking an order, and the next thing, I looked over and they had disappeared. I am gutted. It’s not just about the money, but it’s the time. We had to make all the cocktails for them when we were busy.”
In a public post on Facebook, along with CCTV of the party leaving, the venue wrote: “We are sharing this message to make other restaurant owners and businesses aware.
“These customers visited our restaurant, enjoyed their meal, and unfortunately left without paying the bill. We have CCTV footage and the bill receipt as proof of the incident.

What is wrong with people. I feel like crying. You terrible people,” as another responded: “How on earth in 2026 do people have the audacity to walk into establishments, sit down, eat a meal and walk out without paying. That is actually MORTIFYING to think of.”
