The referees have been confirmed for round two of Super League, in a weekend that sees St Helens face Leigh Leopards in the clash of the round.
Of course, there are just six Super League games this weekend, not seven, due to Hull KR’s involvement in the World Club Challenge.
Liam Moore has already been confirmed to officiate that one, meaning he won’t be on-field in the top flight this weekend, but he will still have roles to play through the fixtures.
Chris Kendall is currently suffering from an injury, and the senior official is hoping to be back in rounds three or four.
Kicking off the Super League action, there are three games locked in for the Friday 8pm slot – including that blockbuster tie between Saints and Leigh.
Aaron Moore will oversee that fixture, whilst the aforementioned Kendall will be on video referee duties to compensate his injury.
Odsal will officially become a Super League stadium once again, as Bradford Bulls host Catalans Dragons. Liam Rush will take charge there, with Tom Grant acting as video referee.
Finally, Leeds Rhinos get their 2026 home campaign underway with a tie against York Knights. The du of James Vella and Jack Smith will be in control of that one.
Saturday sees two more games played, the first being between Toulouse Olympique and Castleford Tigers. Marcus Griffiths will travel to France to officiate that one, with Liam Moore returning to Super League duties as video referee.
Tom Grant will take charge of Wigan Warriors’ tie with Hull FC, with Aaron Moore in the replay box there.
On Sunday, Huddersfield Giants round out the action when they host Wakefield Trinity. Both teams will be looking for improved performances this week, in what is the only tie that sees two losers from round one go head-to-head.
Jack Smith will referee that one, with James Vella alongside him.
