Emmerdale’s Vinny Dingle and Lewis Barton finally get closer next week, after a spontaneous snog on the farm leads to them spending the night together. However, after they give into passion, the atmosphere quickly sours.
With things going wrong, Vinny is left scared that he’s screwed up, big time. Can they sort things out?
“It could be all over for Lewis and Vinny before it’s even begun,” our Emmerdale insider explains. “This romance is brand-new ground for the pair of them, but after getting physical, things get awkward and Lewis does a runner. What’s gone wrong between them?”
Sparks have been flying between Lewis and Vinny for months, ever since Vinny was there for Lewis after his burnout. But even after Ross Barton and Kammy Hadiq’s attempts to play Cupid, the shy pair aren’t taking the bait!

Big brother Ross then conjures up a supposedly foolproof plan to try to get his sibling a date with Vinny – but will his scheme have the desired effect?
When Vinny offers to help out on the farm during a sheep-related disaster, his bond with Lewis grows. During the triumphant rescue of the flock, emotions run high and Vinny and Lewis finally give into their chemistry and share a kiss.
After their smooch, Vinny and Lewis are loved up and ready for their relationship to progress. Without thinking, the couple head home together for an early night at Dale View.
However, something occurs after their encounter which puts a dampener on things, and Lewis makes a hasty exit. Vinny’s left standing in his dressing gown, confused about what just happened…

“Poor Vinny doesn’t know what to think,” our spy continues. “He’s been unsure of his sexuality for months and now when he’s finally got the guy, he’s left wondering what he’s done wrong. Can Vinny and Lewis communicate and sort this out?”
Lewis and Vinny were friends before they kissed, so will they decide to forget the romance and go back to being mates? Or is it just a case of miscommunication, and slowing things down before things become too serious?
Later in the week, Vinny and Lewis meet up with Mandy at the Hide, with news to share.
